Youth Can Learn to Start Their Own Business at “Biz Boot Camp” in West Plains July 23-25

PLAINS, Mo. – “Biz Boot Camp” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 23-25,
at the Ozarks Small Business Incubator, 408 Washington Ave, West Plains. Youth
attendees will learn how to start and grow their own business, visit with
successful entrepreneurs and work with peers to develop business ideas.
The
camp is open to high school students entering grades 9-12. Students will
participate in fun activities designed to introduce them to entrepreneurship.
Some examples of activities include creating a marketing video, developing and
presenting an elevator pitch, learning the “7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens”
and competing to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1-inch, Wi-Fi) and a Beats by
Dre headphones.
The
cost of attending the camp is $75 and includes a t-shirt, lunch and great
materials. Space is limited though so early registration is recommended.

The camp is sponsored by the Ozarks Small Business Incubator and YouthBiz, a
