OZARK,
Mo. – The Christian County Master Gardeners are offering a free gardening
seminar, “Gardening Concepts for Fall,” from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday,
Aug. 24 at the Nixa Community Center, 701 N. Taylor Way in Nixa.
Andy Humble, Missouri Department of Conservation, will speak at 9 a.m.
on "Wildlife Damages and Conflicts." The presentation will focus on
how to deter wildlife damage to gardens, landscaping and crops.
Jennifer Ailor, a master gardener and master naturalist will begin
her presentation at 10:15 a.m. on "Veggies for the Fall and Winter
Garden." The focus will be on what cool-weather vegetables to grow, when
to plant and how to prolong the growing season.
Pre-registration
is required by Aug. 22 and space is limited. To register for the seminar, or
